The UTSU Student Advice Service
The UTSU Student Advice Service is a confidential listening, information and advocacy service.
What does that mean?
The service aims to provide a space for students to talk over their worries in confidence, and to offer information on a range of issues which students might encounter during their time at Tirton.
All members of the SAS have either just finished their degrees, or are taking a sabbatical year out in the middle of them. This means that the SAS have a first hand understanding of the Tirton experience, but also the time to devote to solving problems and seeking information that a college rep, for instance, might not.
How to find us
The UTSU SAS offices are in Dick Tracy House, at the back of Round Square - that's the patch of land opposite the Eastgate Shopping centre and Pound Stretcher, near Hussans Cracking Kebabs.
The Service normally runs between 10am and 5.30pm on weekdays, though we may be able to arrange an appointment outside these hours if needs be. If possible, its best to make an appointment by emailing advice@ivorytowers.biz You're also welcome to drop into the UTSU offices, though you may not be able to see someone straight away as we are hardly ever in - our work often takes us out into the University, and we do have a range of fixed commitments which keep us busy between 10am and 5.30pm on weekdays.
