by Jim Cartwright
Dreamshed Theatre takes Jim Cartwright’s acclaimed play on tour.
Directed by Bill Cronshaw and performed by local professional actors Jilly Breeze and Adrian Ross-Jones, the play, set in a Northern pub, follows an evening’s events as seen through the eyes of the pubgoers and the beleagured landlord and landlady.
This is a play that grips from beginning to end with a remarkable blend of outright humour and bleak sadness that has fascinated audiences since its first showing in 1989.
