Roseanne Brian
1963 was Roseanne’s first professional stage appearance in ‘Under Milk Wood’ at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham. After finishing at nearby Bishops Cleeve Comprehensive, she then trained at Birmingham Theatre School. Her first job from there was at Swansea Grand Theatre playing Mary in ‘The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie’. From there on she did various tours, repertory seasons, TV and radio. After a gap of fifteen years and then moving to Shropshire where she still lives, she worked for Shropshire based theatre company, ‘Pentabus’. She then set up her own company ‘Borderland Theatre’ and toured ‘Female Parts’ with actress and friend Ruth Burton. More recently she has played Gertrude in ‘Hamlet’ and the Stasis, a goddess in a musical play ‘Fiddle Fable’ for the Ludlow Festival. She has just finished a feature film ‘Together’ playing psychiatrist Dr Katelyn and then Mom in a short film ‘The Message’.
